Drama / Re: Furry Supporters/Haters on the Forums
« on: June 29, 2009, 09:19:13 PM »
Furrys sometimes wear masks, tails that clip onto belts, etc. (Amber Williams of the DMFA comic wears her Mow hat to Anthrocon)

people with the cash to burn will have full fursuits, you normally see them at parties and such.

a good fursuit can cost up to $7,000 (Animatronics for facial movement and such, like special ear equipment to enhance hearing to increase realism (like those hearing aid things you see on tv people wear to hear farther than normal)

contrary to popular belief, true Furrys don't have love in their fursuits, it can get up to 100* Fahrenheit with just normal activity (walking around, etc), just imagine the temp it would get during the activity in bed.

http://www.fomportal.com/

when it comes back (currantly being remade, Face of Mankind was a really good MMORPG, they emphasized on staying in-character. even had a police force, you couldn't go around with a gun out without getting in trouble, Faction LeD (Law Enforcement Department), also there are criminal factions, also neutral, like a mining faction.

you can choose your first apartment for free, any others cost a lost, be carefull though, try not to choose your first apartment in an enemy controlled town (like i did first time)

you can get killed, but you can also purchase "clone insurance" where when you die, you get revived at the cloning center.

its a really fun game. it used to be pay-to-play, but that ended long ago.

I ran at a constant 80 FPS. I mean lag as in ping.
depends on your connection type, the distance between you and the host, if there are any spyware/adware infecting your computer, firewall/router issues.

changing cl_maxpackets, snaps, and something else can improve latency.

google HL2 Tweaks.

if you do get freelancer, get the mod, The Next Generation..very good. would say something about playing online but it would break badspot's no piracy rule (server emulation)

(kinda hard not to break that rule since old games like freelancer dont have official masterserver things anymore)

its only lagged if your computer cannot handle it..it requires higher system requirements than hl2. (higher than the recommended sys reqs, so it will be lagged on computers that JUST meet the minimum system requirements *like mine*)

There are very few hackers that can bypass the VAC detection system...
that we know of..there are accually quite a few that have and know how to keep it a secret. which is why I dont play it anymore.

those popup images that only last for half a second happen always made me jump...always happen at unexpected times...

but the slayers and mainliners are annoying..almost as bad as the monsters in Doom 3.

I founded the "bosses" a bit easy though..specially Doctor Killjoy...

I just beat The Suffering on Medium...was down to 1 hit till death with 0 health thingys at last boss when I did final hit...

apparantly, the bonus "prelude" level is removed in the freeware version, cause i beat in both easy and medium and didnt unlock..do I need to get an ending other than good? since its so easy to get good ending.

I have all three, Overture, Black Plague, and Requiem.

they are quite nerve rending at times..specially played in a dark and quiet room. (and suddenly your cat meows at you real loudly)

Black Plague is a bit more difficult, and another "feature" later on is a bit...annoying...you will find out eventually.

Requiem is more puzzle than the others..
