Author Topic: Monitor Going Black  (Read 899 times)

When I start Blockland, it runs completely fine. After a few minutes of leaving it on, my monitor instantly turns black. I can't see anything on the screen, but my computer continues to run as normal. The light on the monitor changes from green to orange (orange indicating it's off or on standby, I think). I've tried turning the monitor on and off several times, but to no avail. Does it have something to do with my drivers?

Keep in mind this only started happening today. It worked fine yesterday. Also, the problem happens even on the main menu if left on for more than a minute or so.

Check the blue wire in back on your monitor.

Did you only use your mouse to wake the monitor up?

Because, some computers, will only wake up using the keys. (SPACEBAR will do the trick)

Yeah, that's not the problem. It's not really technically on standby. I can be actively doing things and it will automatically do it.

Whoa, that is a problem... IDK, i can't think of anything... If i do I'll tell you.

Sounds like whatever is in charge of determining if you're doing anything ignores you when you're playing Blockland. Can you wake it up if you alt-tab?

That was the first sign telling me my computer was starting to slowly die, then the sound died. It was and old Pc anyways.

check your monitor settings.
