Author Topic: Internet redirecting Virus D:  (Read 1660 times)

So I went onto Facebook, and I had gotten a message from a friend I knew in real life, it was a link so clicked on it. I'm pretty sure this is where I went wrong. It lead me to some video site and it told me to watch it I had to download flash player, and since my flash player had already tried to update itself and I cancelled it, I though it was just me. Then it downloaded setup, so I used that and nothing happened. so now I have this virus that redirects me to some other download site every time I try to enter a site. How to fix D:

Delete System32

Get Malwarebytes.

It probably modified something else, but the file in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc called hosts is a text file (open it in notepad) that can redirect sites to others. There shouldn't be much in there, but you can just delete everything inside it to make sure.

Solution: Don't click dodgy links, and get spyware, search and destroy, which has the teatimer application. System settings protector.

My computer is stuck with a worse virus...
Vundo... :(
 :panda:

The forget is Vundo?

Anyways, I used to have a virus that played random advertisements.
