Well, I'll get to the stupid stuff first, While searching for a tutorial on how to make a gif. my background on Vista Home Premium, the first page that popped up was this:
Some stupid-ass, furrie devoted forum
Just though some people would like to see that, proving some of our points, but anyways
Can anyone give me a tutorial on how to make a gif. file my background on Vista Home Premium without having to upgrade to ultimate just for the stupid ass Dreamscene, any helping links would be greatly appreciated, and BTW, yes I read through all the links on that page, none of them helped.

That furry.ca place or whatever you linked to in your post, the topic it linked to clearly answered that .gif backgrounds don't work well with Vista without the help of a third-party program that requires you to be in 16-Bit colours, unless you want to cripple your desktop
