The rain smell is coming from the nitrogen being broken down by lightning :o
No, thats not copy pasta, and though im not sure of it, I think thats what I learned in science.

I live in malibu and I love the rain, so when it rains, its an climaxicly godly epicness of pure awesome. And I agree, the smell of the clean air right after a rain is... well... awesome.
