make infantry "hoppers" between ship A and ship B

like, add a 'mancannon' kind of thing that launches you to a small battlefield close to one ship, that's connected directly to another mancannon kind of thing that launches you to the main middle part of battlefield, that launches you to the other team's small battlefield and finally to the other team's fortress to do some serious damage

so it'd probably look something like this:


SHIP : PLATFORM : STATION : PLATFORM : SHIP


wait. no, that sounds like it would be good for a standalone TDM...

I've partially done that. I can't allow demoing of motherships because it would end the endless dogfight.

That sounds kinda cool. I'll see if I can expand on something like that.

How about each ship has a power core, and each team needs to destroy the opposite team's core, to make the enemy ship blow up. Once one blows up, the game resets.

Problem: Endless DM = No Rounds

I need some ideas.

Scenario:

There's two main space ships. One on red team, one on blue. Each main ship holds 4 ships, and each main ship has 6 ASC Turrets.

So you have two ways of attacking, via ship, and via turret.

I need more than just these ways.

What I won't do:

Expand the Hangar to fit more ships
Add more ASC Turrets
Add another main ship
Try to make a bridge across to attack through otherwise you have to wait 20 mins for the other team to fly inside of ship. Nice idea I really hope you can make it happen

BETTER IDEA

give all infantry shotgun weapons, make an 'empty space' area between ship A and ship B, and have a mancannon that launches them directly to a small 'battlefield': after passing through some sort of ring they're slowed down on the spot

to fight eachother, players must shoot themselves toward the opponent using recoil, then shoot their face in with their shotgun. simple, yes?

That sounds too much like Valhalla.

I've built ground and water TDM's. It's time for a space one. The ships will be far apart, so wondering in space is not a good idea.

Make it like Tribes 2 with jet packs, but limited, and they need to land on the asteroids to refuel, so gameplay might be like scattered horizon

Erm, star wars battlefront 2 anyone? lol Epic game

It's fairly similar to BFII, but I don't want it to be a Star Wars TDM.
