I have a Plantronics Halo 2 headset


Unfortunately the plastic piece holding the mic in place broke, the wires are still connected however, so it still works, it's just that the mic dangles now...

They still sell those at the gamestops near where I live :o

... I have a G35 headset, sound is good, mic is good... but it's plastic, the mic falls apart, part of the thing around the head cracked...
I also have G51 speakers that I use for music, just feels wrong without having speakers...

Also, speakers can very well overpower headphones. You just need monitors, not stuffty computer speakers.

I can't stand any headphones other than earbuds. I like to fall asleep to music on, so that wouldn't work with over-ear headphones. And they're just all around more comfortable.

Hehe quite true. I use mine for audio production/mastering/all that technical junk. Also, OP, you wasted your money on your headset. That thing is priced at $80 while my MDRXD200s are better than those. (And there's a $40+ difference there) So, to buy a headset with the specs of the MDRXD200s, would cost less /theoretically/ than that crappy headset you bought. In fact I bet my speakers have more clarity than that.

Well, the one I use now WAS actually really good. Like 2 years ago..

I had to bring it with me everywhere because of the laptop, and it eventually started to fall apart little by little.

Gamecom777 I don't know if this is rated popularly or poorly, but I love it. blocks almost all sound from outside and is very comfortable with velvet padding on ears and top of head.
