Another question came across my mind today.
Why is network speed measured it bits rather than bytes?
take for example a router with 100 mbps speed. people with low knowledge may mistake that for 100 megabytes per second, but that is actually 100 megabits per second, which equates to about 12.5 megabytes per second.
Computers dont measures filesizes in bits anymore, they measure in bytes. so why do we still measure network speed in this manner?
