The amount of species of other animals on this Earth that we haven't discovered is so vast, that your mind can't even comprehend it. So shut the forget up about what China is doing, and think about it in modern science terms. Wouldn't you want to test it to see what it is?

Yes.  They should watch it for a month or so, take notes and keep someone watching it every minute of the day.  Then they should try putting another animal around it, and see how it reacts.

Of course, but the lack of fur isn't what you'd expect on a mammal in that climate, unless it's sick.  It just doesn't seem natural to me.
