What program do you use, and which one do you think is best for making CI?

Paint.NET, Photoshop, gimp. Really anything that can trans...

Paint.net and zoom in and do pixel work.

I use a mix of paint.net and gimp.

Photoshop CS5 is better than everything ;)

This is so true...

Paint.net and zoom in and do pixel work.
Thanks.
Took me so long to do it pixel by pixel but it's very accurate.

1. Take a screenshot on a plain colour background in Destruct Light (Lighting is slightly yellow in Construct)
2. Open in GIMP
3. Add an alpha channel to the layer
4. Same Color select all with 2-4px feathering
5. Hold down delete key for a few seconds
6. Colors -> Colorize. Set hue so that the image is red, full saturation
7. Adjust lightness and contrast until it looks similar shading to other CI images
8. Apply Drop Shadow at 100% opacity 8 pixels to every direction and diagonals
9. If needed zoom in and use brush to fix edges of shadowing
10. Crop image and resize to 22 pixels high

Ah, thanks a bunch Space.  That sounds like the best way to do it.
