I finished a 4 page research paper on the effects of violent video games today. 1" margins, 12 point Times New Roman, double-spaced. Required 30 3" x 5" notecards with the information I used on them and 5 notecards with my sources on them, along with a peer editing sheet, all rough drafts, a packet on how I used ethical and emotional appeal, and a virtual form from "turnitin.com" which checks for plagiarism, despite the fact about 85% of the paper was supposed to be in the words of my sources. I actually enjoyed it. If you ever get to pick a topic for a paper, make sure you pick something interesting. I did a research project two years ago on solar energy and nearly killed myself (metaphorically) from boredom.
