That's similar to USA, but each state has it's own rules on statutory rape, it is either more strict or less strict but generally if one is over 18 and one is under 18 it is statutory rape regardless, the difference is if it is within 3 years difference it is a misdemeanor and is a slap on the wrist. If the difference is over 3 years it is considered a felony and could get 10 years in jail.
