How the heck do I enable UPnP?

I got to my UPnP forwarding tab on my router, and now it has a list of about 10 programs and their exit gateways, all with UPnP off. What do I do? There are also some blanks at the bottom for adding new programs...

You shouldn't have a UPnP Forwarding tab. It would either be "Port Forwarding" or "UPnP" - the idea of UPnP is to do the forwarding temporarily and on request.
