Author Topic: What kind of iguna should I get? (Read 576 times)

I was thinking about getting one since the reptile store/department store opened up and had everything from snakes to alligators hurr.I dont want one of the huge ones maybe one that is about a foot or so...any ideas?oh and im not a reptile master or anything like that.

do the iguana a favor, don't buy one.

ninja: and I'm not trying to be a richard or anything. I've had an iguana that I bought from a carnival (2 bad ideas in 1). It died 3 days later. Iguanas are not domesticated, they shouldn't be in a house. They don't want to be in a house. not to mention they are a HUGE pain to keep up.

Any lizard that looks cool is probably one you shouldn't be buying.

suchas an iguana or chameleon.

I'm not going to say that nobody should own one, but if you're not willing to dedicate a bunch of time to it then you shouldn't get it. Especially if inexperienced with lizards.

and you might think you'll always love and adore your lizard, but reptiles can't love. they feel no sense of loyalty and don't even like to be around you.

in other words, it gets old. buy a cat.

Leopard gecko or bearded dragon.

wouldn't want a gecko or anything that looses its tail because i don't want to have to go around my house picking up tails that ave fallen off because something some where startled the gecko.Tail collection..hur

edit-friendly lizard/iguana,perhaps?

You don't know anything about lizards.

They live in cages, unless they are an adult iguana.
I'm 99% sure geckos don't lose their tails.
Even if they did, the tails come off by being pulled. Not the lizard just going "eek!" and it's tail blasting off.

Do not buy a lizard, you have no idea how to care for them if your posts so far are any indication.
