I tried playing it earlier today and after I plugged it in and everything.

It would turn on....turn back off...then turn on....off....then turn on blinking green and red.

I didnt even think origonal xbox's even got that.

Of course, it doesn't matter if you are smart enough to put it in a well ventilated area like a smart person would with their other computers and consoles.

True.  But even then, overheating can
be a problem.  It's just good practice to do that.
