Author Topic: Print Events - Question on Becoming Failed  (Read 460 times)

Sometime while I was away, my Print Events were Failed. I first noticed this when I tried to use it in my own server and found it not even loading. Of course, checking console, I found it had become CRC blocked. I edited it so at least I could run it, but my question is:

Why was it failed, exactly? I know I did at least one or two hacks in it to make it work more cleanly, but nothing horrible.

I only post this here because I mentioned it to Wedge just before in Bushido's server and he suggested I ask here. I searched for my topic, and also found a bunch of people who were also asking why.

Also, if anyone who is well experienced in coding wishes to clean up my events where it seemed to cause the failed marking, I can PM you it.

They didn't work for me.

They didn't work for me.

Elaborate your point, sir. I did some hacky things because my events were supposed to do what the tutorial does, and since I can't really make trigger zones, it had to do weird stuff...

Anyway, I don't see how it was breaking for anyone. I made events to set, read, and react to prints. I got permission from Adam487 to use the onPrintChange in there... maybe if I remove that and make it a required add on, it's work out better.

It worked perfectly for me, I never realized it was failed either...

I remember I wanted to make it so you could set prints with an event and still have the check event run, so I made a hack so it couldn't infinite loop.

That could be scary... if the thing breaks and loops... But I made sure it wouldn't.
