EDIT: Doesn't it read data from multiple angles or something of that sort? That's the concept they had before at least.

At least, I don't think it does. From what I've heard, it's some sort of layered disk, there's data on multiple layers, and it reads off the layers using some new laser. At least, I think that's Holographic Versatile Disks, I may be thinking of some other disk.

Well when I think holographic images I think of Pokemon cards. Tilting the card in different directions makes it look shiny and sparkle. I'm assuming this is because the light is reflecting in different ways. So that's why I assume that it's reading from different angles because it's reading different wave lengths of light. I could be wrong, these are just my assumptions.
