Author Topic: Old bed + saws = awesome  (Read 648 times)

Hey guys I just finished making this thing right here. Sorry about the stuffty panorama.

K so basically. I like making things as you've seen.

This bed was originally a queen size double bed with completely flat ends. What I did:

1. Cut bed in half (Table saw and miter saw)

2. Made real fancy curvy end pieces with a scroll saw and band saw with the scrap pieces

3. Put new bottom boards in it

4. Brought it upstairs

5. put peelows on it

6. Final product: Day Bed :D

So it's basically a bed that you can use as a couch in the day and then a bed at night. It's real comfy and the boards are nice and sturdy.

Rate x/10 or whatever, comment, etc.

Next project: get an HDTV (32") to fit in the @wesome cabinet, then attach a new keyboard set to the daybed for long-range interweb surfin'.

EDIT: This also took me about 3 days in total without my dad's help.

Gut a gamecube into a clock
Gut an SP into a cell phone
Get a cabinet and a couch. Make the cabinet the legs of the couch.

I was about to say this was Shopped, until I noticed it was 2 pictures mashed together.

I did the honors of removing your watermark

Too bad I did a stuffty job.
