Author Topic: Problems with models of custom weapons In-Game  (Read 801 times)

Hello There!

My first announcement to the forums is that I now know how to make weapons and model for Blockland and export, problem is, most of my creations' models don't show up correctly.

The only best working weapon to-date is the CG (Carbine Grenade)

Horrible model yes, but it' was meant to be a quickie to solve my explosive needs.

My first weapon I've decided to hide because of it being completely hideous.

My other 2 weapons.
My sword, Obsidian Death Blade, the model fails first person, but 3rd person it shows up.

It's not a great model either but this was one of my first.

My second is the SAHCR (Semi Automatic Heavy Carbine Rifle)
When it first came out, it was my 2nd ever made model and weapon.
It was a horrible model that looked like a cross between an UZI and something out of a futuristic movie with a sphere at the rear where you rest your shoulder. Heres the pic of it in ms3d and what it looks like now. The ms3d model shouldn't look like what i described it as, it's remade.

Now here's third person view, this is weird, it shows a sphere now.


This is what I'm giving you to see what you may be able to say to me that can fix these model problems I'm having. All the models you've seen are nothing compared to the ones that aren't loading because my Blockland automatically deletes anything with Weapon_. I'm not sure why but my CP's going to be restarted, it should fix this.

Post below what you think the problem is, if you fregen flame on how bad the model is, you fail reading. Thank you for your time.

Also since I don't want to waste my finger strength, I'd like to know how to animate parts in ms3d, a tutorial i read on the forums didn't quite get my full understanding, I understood how to get the objects to move with the joints but I didn't get on how to record it. If you could be nice, please post on how below. Thanks. :|

If there are any backfaces, fix that. Also, make sure you put the .dts in the .zip folder. Your gun is facing on the wrong axis.

Yes after i posted I'm like "Wait, I think this should of went in General Modification Help, *headdesk*

What do you mean by backfaces.

The SAHCR i checked is facing the purple line it shows so on the ms3d screen shot.

Open MS. Go to the 3D view, R-Click, and then check on, Show Backfaces. If there are any black faces, select them and the go to Face > Reverse Vertex Order.

Tutorial i read i'm pretty sure said if they end with 0 change to 1.

No, weapons are 0. Period.

Alright thankyou alot both of you for that, now i can fix my weapons..
