how to make a .zip folder

omg i know this might sound stupid, i assure im not a noob, but HOW DO YOU MAKE A .ZIP FOLDER? Im trying to make a zip folder for a decal i made.

Just right click on the desktop or in Window's Browser and click new >> .zip folder. Unless you're running a mac?
