Which is better?

Snowboarding, for the simple fact that you throw snowballs at fat people while riding.

I like snowboarding more, mainly because more of my friends do it so I don't feel like the odd one when going with them. I've skiid a few times and for just having a good time at the slopes I think that skiing is easier but that's just my opinion. One thing I like about snowboarding is the challenge with it and that you have to time your moves so you don't fall on your ass or just end up all over the hill. However, something that I don't like as much about snowboarding is that when I break I go toes to the mountain, and when I'm doing this I can't see anything/anyone below me. The reason this is an issue for me is the hill that I go to doesn't really have anyone going around telling people not to sit in the middle of the damn hill. So you often will have to only break when you know no one is in your way or just break with the heels which I find a little harder.

Block, for some reason with snowboarding, you hit a certain point (of skill) , and then you get unbelievably good.

When I see snowboarders hanging out on the hill, I stop, grab snow, and nail em.  Or do a passing turn behind them, spraying snow on them.

I hate the blind side of snowboarding, and when switching from blind side to not; falling on your ass sucks.

I have yet to try skiing but it's probably a lot easier.

I used to snowboard I like that better.

Whenever I ski I feel like I am going to twist my ankles off :c

i snowboard, it is awesome.

I still haven't hit that learning curve, I can do the greencircle(I'm pretty sure that's what it is for the step up from the bunny hill) slope pretty good. And so many times I'll see idiots just sitting there, I was going backwards once and was ready to flip the person off if I wasn't so worried about what was behiend me. One thing that annoys me is roostery little kids that often go too fast or end up hitting you. For one of my first times on the green slope I had fallen by one of the curves, I was off to the side and had a really bad headache (the kind you get while breaking backward and then catching a bump and fly in a backflip type motion and fall right on your head.) So I'm trying to get up as fast as I can, putting my hat back on and getting my loose glove back on, and I was just starting to get up when I'm knocked right back down. The kid that hit me had the skiis auto snap out luckily for me or I might have been out for the season. But it just pisses me off when you've got all those idiots, and even the adults who go and smoke at the top of the hill curve where the lift operaters can't see them.

I would say that you're wrong but almost all of us members on forums are in that gamer/internet kind of minority so we wouldn't apply to that 99%

I'm going to assume every snowboarder in this topic would be that 1%.
Amirite?

I bet I know your problems:

1.  You aren't leaning forward when riding.  It goes against human instinct, but you must lean towards where you are going a bit.

2.  You might not even know it, but you are afraid.  Once you lose the fear you will lean forward, you will try turns you don't think you can do, but can, and you will get to be really good and impress those hot girls in the cafeteria.

And you are a pusillanimous individual skier.

Guidos?  come on.  You are an starfish.

Thanks for the advice rave, this winter I'll try that out. I do feel like sometimes it's a little much and it scares me a little but as I'm there at the slopes for the day it starts to die down. The major thing that trips me up is when I take a bad crash that day and then I want to tune it down a little so it doesn't happen again. And I'm sure that that's exactly what you mean, and JAW, don't make it like there's some fight or war between the two. You might think skiing is better and we will prefer snowboarding so cut the elitist stuff.
