What do you think the focus of Blockland should be? More specifically, what do you think upgrades needed to be given to in the future?

I myself think that events are good for a long while, and seem to allow us to do just about anything with our bricks. I don't think anything needs to be done to them. I think weapons are focused on FAR too much. Every weapon I see just seems to be some kind of gun, that does the same thing. Aim. Fire. Kill. It's been a while since I've seen something added in that has a unique function, like the homing missile, the timed bomb, or even the Ion Gun. However, I think new bricks could always be added. I'll never complain to new bricks being added, of any shape or kind. But that's just my personal preference. I love seeing the build. Actual functionality is just an option, to me. I also like hearing-- I love having new sound effects or music to put into the build. So in that respect, I suppose I enjoy functionality. And finally, I want to see some kind of upgrade to the color set system, so that more than 64 colors will be possible.

or even the Ion Gun.
Aim, Fire, Kill.

I think building needs to be more focused on. We need the ability to do more advanced things with bricks, like turn them on their sides, and tilt them, and stuff like that, this is "That Game Where You Build Stuff," so building is the most important thing.

You could do that in RTB 1.045 though most people just stretched a 1x1f into a 64 brick long Berlin Wall with the EW.

Rotating bricks would be to engine breaking.

Rotating bricks is 100% possible with this engine, Badspot would just have to change how the gird system worked.

I personally think things would get a bit confusing with rotating bricks.

Is that really how the Ion Gun worked? I was only on one server where they had it, and I thought that the weapon itself was more about the visual aspect than actually doing damage. And I also thought it caused an explosion that the owner of the weapon wouldn't be able to escape, so they'd have to sacrifice themselves to use it. Not that much different, but I think it stood out nonetheless.

I definitely agree with more abilities with bricks, though. I'd like to bring back the ability for them to move, first, like a moving platform. (I think the old RTB could do that, not completely sure.) Putting bricks on their side would also be a huge advancement. But would people really WANT to change the grid system? How would that affect builds we already have? I don't care about the confusing part, because things are confusing enough with events as is. I think the community could manage to figure out another system as well.

Basically. Aim, press fire, wait for it to charge up and then it fires and everyone dies.
