Invisibillity watches not working

Ok when I go to a brick, wrench it, click on items, and I discover the watches are a lie, this has been going on ever since I got them, I've never been able to use them. Are there known interfering files, or settings? All help gets a  and an internet.

You can wield the watches but you can't get invisible?
To get invisible, equip the watch and press the jet button.
