Author Topic: Skillet, Christian?!  (Read 2382 times)

Hurr stereotypes.

Just because they didn't directly mention "God" or "Jesus" doesn't mean that's not what there songs are about. Look up the lyrics.

He gets old pretty fast.

sorry :c

It's very well known that Skillet's a Christian band.

But that makes me wonder, what exactly makes a band "Christian _____"? Is it just the stuff they put in their lyrics or what?

Being a "Christian" band is more of a label than anything. Skillet labels themselves as "Christian" and there lyrics match. Bands like "August Burns Red" don't say that they are a "Christian" band, but one look at their lyrics easily tells you that they are. And the same is true for bands that say they are "Christian", but their lyrics don't reflect it at all.

This thread turned out better then expected :I.
