My mom has the older model. It's pretty awesome and the free 3G(ish) internet is awesome.

I think so, but not very many. Only like 12 popular magazines.

or maybe you can only buy each magazine issue.

a friend at school had one, but at the time I wasn't in to Wired so I didn't look for it on the magazine list.
