Well, I have three ways of arranging it in my mind;

1. He made it into 'reality' and was reunited
2. He went into limbo's limbo and since he was freed from his bitch-wife his brain excepted that those were his kids
3. Whats really happening is a loop. I get this from the fact that at the beginning of the movie the same thing happens with the old Asian man guy and the top. So you could interpret that no matter what he did he was so deep in limbo he was just going deeper and deeper and fsfpafpaaspsapfd
