Author Topic: VCE Variable Client Failure  (Read 479 times)

I recently made a DM that includes a lot of client-sided variables. When its client-sided the variable is supposed to stay with you even after your character has died, but VCE is created in such a way where this is only SOMETIMES true.

There are also failures in it such as if you have a brick tell you the amount of a variable and you start clicking it rapidly, sometimes it will display the line of code ITSELF. For example, if you made an rpg where you have to cut down a tree by clicking it and every time you click it it displays the amount of hits needed to chop it down, every few hits it will display the code of <client:variable:blahblah> (or something along the lines of that) instead of giving you the actual variable.

VCE is broken and has been broken for a while, someone fix it.
..Or at least tell me how to get around these problems...

slow down on the clicking it might be processing too mutch at once.

No, that was just an example, it doesn't matter how fast you click at all.

Try the save variable functions, And load variables of course. Then it saves it always.

I've used vce extensively and never encountered these errors/bugs.
