Author Topic: Hosting?  (Read 634 times)

Okay so i need help with this. I haven't really been able to host since the v14 update. Ive tried to enable UPnP but it didn't solve my hosting problem. I re-forwarded my ports and that made only a few people able to join, ie if i was hosting a passworded server, people i gave the password to could join. But as soon as i want to host my public TDM again, no one has been able to connect. Ive watched the console and it read:

Got Connect challenge Request from IP:76.112.48.95:36671

So, can anyone help with this? If you need anymore details i can give you them.
(Help from Badspot / Ephialties would be appreciated)

What's the brand of your router/modem?

Start -> run -> cmd
Type "ipconfig /all"

Enter the value for "default gateway" into your web browser.

I can now connect to the wireless router i just hit the reset button. Its still not working though. My ping isnt showing up, some people can join others cant.

So its not my wireless router, i tried port forwarding on that. So, any other help?
I would get a new modem if that was an option at this time.

Get a LAN port wire and plug to LAN ports in router.
Plug to your laptop or desktop.
Problem solved.

It's called an ethernet cord.

1. I'm on a desktop currently, the wireless router is only for Wi-fi on the wii and dsi.
2. This is my setup currently: Modem plugged into the port that says "Modem" on my belkin 54g wireless router. Computer's ethernet cord plugged into the "wired 1" slot on the wireless router. Xbox live cord plugged into "wired 2" slot on the wireless router.
3. Ive tried to take the wireless router out of the equation (as it was when i used to host my tdm  back in v10) and it still did not work.
