As long as the people in question don't mind, it doesn't matter. But it might be good to tell them, even if you do it half heartedly. "I accidentally sent you the old one".

I guess you're right. But still they do have examples of my engine. It might not be the entire thing but they could piece it together and merge it with the older version of the engine. Also I don't like the fact that they're just going to take my engine and make maps for it. They have no intention of adding their own creative inputs onto the engine. Also finally fixed the TMP script. loving ";" how do they work?

Well it is your work. I don't really understand why you have to give your engine to them, but you could just lie and say you improved it after you sent it to them, if they start emailing you after you release your mod. I don't think you really need to care about karma or ethical responsibility-- people always play a little dirty like this, especially online.
