This just in; when kids who like the new shows reach your age, they'll say things like this about new shows in their time
Untrue. As a small child, I caught the tailend of Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Lab, PPG, Johnny Bravo, Mike Lu and Og, Time Squad, etc. before they all got booted. I loved the new shows that came out around that time, like XLR, that Fridays thing, Foster's, Squirrel Boy was okay. It's just that studios think they know what kids want mainly because they look at the internet (hence MAD using memes).
edit: As for old shows, I loved Sheep in the Big City.
