Author Topic: Would it be possible to run Blockland off a flash drive?  (Read 945 times)

I want to know because I want it to be portable so I can play it at multiple computers at my school for a club.

It should be possible, The flash drive would need to be large enough to store BL and the school's network would need to allow users to run external programs.
Also if you intend to be sharing the game using one key this would go against Terms and Conditions i believe, so would not be allowed.

I tried moving Blockland onto another computer via flashdrive once. Didn't start up. I recommend just transporting your add-ons folder or whatever.

I use it like that sometimes, just put the blockland folder onto the flash drive, assuming your flash drive can hold it.

I only ever play my BL off a flash drive. 2.5 gigs reserved for BL and the other 1.5 for xbox storage!

You have to install it directly to the flash drive, you can't simply copy the entire folder to it. If you do install it directly to the flash drive, then yes, it will work, I've done it.

Note that when you run Blockland on a new computer, even from a flash drive, it will want you to re-enter the key.

If you are on a LAN, other players can join using the demo version and everyone will be playing the full version with you.  This is by design.
