Right click on your speakers, click advanced, go to the enhancements tab, and try unchecking all of them if there are any.

They're already unchecked.

Try swapping the cables around, I had some weirdly colored speakers a while ago and I'd just keep switching the cables between the different slots until I heard sound.

Is your sound card integrated into your motherboard with the 3 sound ports (blue green and pink) or do you have a separate sound card? If you have a sound card can you tell us what model of sound card you have?

are you using a basic computer dual speakers? try JUST using the black plug.

if you are using a bass-receiver surround sound set, try only plugging in the front 2 speakers and see if it will work.

i forget what the colors were. black was one plug fronts. green was bass?

I think it's intergrated into it.
Not sure though, how can i tell?

Unless you specifically remember buying a soundcard and installing it it's probably integrated.

Did you try plugging the speakers into another computer, or TV, or mp3 player or something to see if they still work?
