HDMI from tv to pc help?

Well my HDMI is plugged into my monitor, and my TV, but i cannot find it displaying on my TV how can i fix it?

Not really, sorry i don't know many details this is the first time i have tried it. Is there somthing you need to do on your computer or TV? My TV is some kind of sony wega or somthing.. if that helps =/

Run the HDMI cable from your video card to the TV, not from the monitor to the TV. If that's how you have it set up anyway; your post was difficult to understand.

Even if you get it displaying properly on the TV you will need to run a sound cable or have a connection running to your video card from your sound card or onboard sound to transfer the audio signal through the HDMI cable.

Your video card needs to have an HDMI output then you, well, plug it in.

Well my laptop has an HDMI plug in but when i did that it sill would not play on my TV.

Computer - TV = display computer onto TV
Monitor - TV = nothing lol

both the computer AND the TV have to change some settings.

on the TV you gotta change its input mode to HDMI
and on the comp you have to change the display mode to external display to projector only.
