A device has recently been unveiled and tested, they are called eLegs, which are technically Bionic legs that help people who have disabilitys and are in wheelchairs, and i believe they are using something similar to this for the military, which allows military personnel to carry over 200 pounds which reduces injury. you can see the video Here.
