Sims 2 or 3?

I have some old Sims 2 games. I remembered how I at one time enjoyed them quite a bit. Should I reinstall those or just buy the Sims 3?

I've never played the third, but the second was pretty cool.

I've got to admit I prefer 2nd over 3rd for some reason. Maybe because i don't have a good computer right now though. :/

Many people prefer the second over third right now.

Just stick with Sims 2 until 3 dies down.

Third gives you the ability to walk around the whole town, and you don't need to buy an expansion to get a car. The people look better in 2, I have to admit though. Most of the time, atleast.

sims2 sucks bad. that game feels buggy and loads slow.

3 is cool how the entire town is inner-connected and no loading for anything. its much more possible to get all errands done in a single day.

Edit: On a side note, Sims 3 seems like it lacks in some places.
I still feel it is better then 2.
