Well, I just got back from my neighborhood's one-day-early halloween.

This has always been pondering in my mind.

Why is it that only one day of the year I can go to a complete strangers house, trespass on their property, ring their doorbell, and then demand a "trick" or a "treat".

I can't do this any other day, why just the 31st?
