Author Topic: Is Milkshape 3D worth it?  (Read 592 times)

What I'm asking is, is it worth it to buy Milkshape, or should I stick to Blender?

It'd also be nice to suggest some alternatives to the two.

Yes, blender is a clusterforget of buttons and menus that dilute the functionality. You don't need renderin, an in-built game engine or eye-raping material properties to make models for Blockland, Milkshape is simple enough to get to the point.

Should I do the trial first?

Or is it good enough to just buy it?

I only really use milkshape when I'm rigging and exporting stuff.

I'd use blender but I'm too lazy to learn all the buttons and get plugins working.

Another question for Blender, is there a plugin or anything for importing .dts files?

Blender is really easy if you watch some tutorials.

It was easy for me to learn the basic things, but I still don't understand all of it.
