Author Topic: Scripter Needed.  (Read 973 times)

Hey i have an assassins creed playertype modeled by ydnaa. Heres a pic

And i want to know who can script it for me. Heres what i want to happen.
1). Its a little bit slower than quake player but it can jump
2). When you right click it plays an animation that makes it look like its praying ( like in the pic)
3). Its robes around its legs should move while it runs

And tell me if you're willing to and can do this for me.

1 is a simple datablock variable.
2 would require an animation, and would work better as a servercmd.
3 is an animation, no scripting.

But there still scripting involved for other parts of it, and i dont know how to do animations, and its not stolen

I wish I could help you I would like that to be released

No one wants to script for me :C

Well, you may have a better chance if you actually animated the model to work. The scripter can't animate it.

Idk how its not my model

so what role do you play in the production? i can't see that you've done anything

The person that made it really isnt trying to get a scripter, and i suggested this in suggestions in requests, im just trying to bring it together so its a working addon.

You cannot animate a model with script. You CAN play back any existing animation, but you CAN NOT create a new animation with scripts alone. A script does tell the game engine what the different animations are called and what files they are stored in, but that is all.

He is going to be the "supervisor" and then if it would get done, take it and try and get the most credit for it.

I really like this idea. The only thing is that you can't script an animation. You need to format it in Blender first BEFORE you are able to animate it. Even then you still use Blender to animate the model.
