Author Topic: Dodger's Possibly New PC: Will it Work?  (Read 888 times)

How well would these do together for Valve Games and games like, Fallout: New Vegas?

Processor
(One guy suggested to me that a high end Dual Core is better suited and cheaper for gaming rigs, feel free to object)
Hard Drive (SATA-III)
RAM (2GBx2, so 4 GB total)
Motherboard
GPU (AMD, Not XFX)

Put more money towards a CPU such as a Quad Core, GFX you can replace often, CPU's can be a lot harder.

The real question is will it blend?

The real question is are the parts compatible with each other?

I'm assuming that means a Graphics Card.

Anyways, I know of a local shop that can upgrade my computer, cheaper if I supply the parts. I'm not going to be doing a lot of Video editing and other stuff right now which actually needs more than 2 cores.

The motherboard is capable of USB 3.0, SATA-III hard drives, and Six-Core processors. I have a 700 watt supply going to the card. I'm sure its compatible.

I'm also deciding between this case (USB 3.0) or this case

Looks pretty good.

And..
I'm also deciding between this case (USB 3.0) or this case

First one, IMO.

Holy stuff. Why is that processor so cheap?

What games/applications besides video editing take multiple cores? I'm still debating on whether to upgrade to a Quad Core.
