Where's my hibernating button? D:

It's not there anymore. When I go to start, and click the arrow, the only available options are lock, log off, switch user,  restart, sleep, and shut down. I did shut my computer down fully, and still no button. I'm running windows vista. Please help me find my hibernating hibernate button. D:

I have steam on an external hard drive. If I put my computer to sleep, and take off my hard drive, steam will shut down. If I put it in hibernate, and take off my hard drive, it'll still be there if I put on my computer with my external hard drive plugged in. Why I prefer hibernate: I can take my laptop in my car, and play on steam, without internet. If Steam had shut down, and I had no internet, I couldn't play.

tl;dr I like hibernate


EDIT: Also, if I put my computer to sleep overnight, without it plugged in, it would die. If I put it in hibernate overnight, it'll still be alive. I have a 5 minute battery, by the way.

EDIT 2: It's hard to explain. I just use hibernate instead of sleep, and they're different.

Because computers will only hibernate on a specific season.
Computers wont hibernate in winter, bears do. You will get your hibernate button back in fall.

I think if you let your computer sit without moving the mouse it automatically starts hibernating.
