Author Topic: Snowboarding Gear - HELP.  (Read 438 times)

Hi.  I need new stuff for the years to come.  How does this stuff look?

Jacket
Helmet
Gloves
Pants
Goggles

Ok, so I'm looking for opinions on quality of the stuff.  If it's stuff, tell me what to get.  Thanks C:

Psh, gear. All you need is a board.

lol.

Right, I forgot I am the abominable snowman. :P

Checked them all out as a snowboarder myself. Very good equipment, but you're spending too much on all of it except the goggles. I use $5 gloves, $15 snow pants, dads old hat, and a $30 jacket, and they are warm as hell.

For the jackets and pants look for the 2009-2010 ski season products, they will basically be the same thing but less expensive and different colors.

That's a good helmet, so that's checked off, it's important to have a good one.

Instead of Gloves I would recommend mittens since they are warmer and I find them easier to strap in with. I bet there is a mitten version of those gloves.

With the goggles, I wouldn't recommend that lens. A amber lense is probably a bit better since it's more for all around snow conditions vs the dark lense which is better for really bright days. Unless your really good at snowboarding and your vision has to be amazing, I would recommend the Anon Helix Goggles instead which have a amber lense and run for about $50.
