What's with the stupid polls?

Why is it that I can barely go anywhere in the addons section, or the suggestions section, without opening a topic, and seeing a poll that has absolutely nothing to do with ANYTHING, with 7 or 8 different options, all being things like, "I liek pai"? Or we have the ones that, instead of a simple yes or no, that is needed for the poll, it has, "Yes, YEAH, ya, forgetyesh, No, forgetno(I can accept the forgetno), Nope", all in the same poll?

It was funny when the first newcigarette did it, it gave us all a chuckle when the second newcigarette did it, but now it's just old.

It's the same on all other forums. Idiots make too many polls, idiots complain too much about the abundance of polls. Polls get disabled, both groups of idiots get butthurt, get banned and 50% of the community disappears.

I'd be fine with it. To be honest, nobody actually uses them very seriously. The only section they are needed is in Mod Discussion. And most forum source code allows you to enable and disable the poll system in separate sections....

Also, the forums hasn't had a significant change since the rtb add-ons child board was added over a year ago, I believe.

True,this. But my problem with the polls is that sometimes,when somebody makes a stuff idea/clan/addon/blah,they sometimes only list positive answers (good,very good,excellent,etc). I always pick the least positive.

Well, when accessing the site on a phone, I'd rather not have most of my screen be a stupid ass poll, and more along the lines of the thread at hand.
