he could get a better antivirus

Steambirds is a game you do not have to buy or download and that's the first smart thing in this thread, but what is a Trojan?
Trojan is like the Trojan Horse from roman (or whatever) history and such.

It comes to you (or your computer) looking safe and peaceful, and then when it gets inside, it let's out all those little soldier dudes out to attack your computer.

I was playing a game and all of a sudden I have a thing warning me of malware attacks and I have files named Trojan (God the forget?) and I want to know what a Trojan is and Malware attacks are and how can I fix this stuff.

Relate the Trojan file to the Trojan Horse.  Works 'bout the same, comes in your computer all nice  n' happy, then it releases viruses all over the place.  And Malware, Mal -- Bad (In Spanish) Ware; Hardware/Software       Bad-Ware; possibly a virus.

Trojans, viruses, worms, and such all fall under malware.
