Ooma, that thingy majiggy that allows free phone service! forget yeah! But wait, its broken, forget no.

Ever since my dad got that Ooma thing, nobody in my house can host games, browse websites, or hell, even loving write a rant post without being disconnected from the internet every 5 seconds. I am loving serious.

Phone service? But it allows internet usage? Yes, that is apparently how it works.

My friend who moved to europe because his dad got this awesome job, was somehow able to join party chat with me over xbox live. That was the only time he could, because his dad didn't want video games over there because he's weird.

Im talking to him, I can hear him fine, but i am laggy with my voice.

All of a sudden *Disconnected from XBOX live*

Thank's alot ooma! Thank you, so loving much, now I can never talk to my friend ever.

They have forums.

My father tried out Ooma for a day. And he agrees with you.

What is Ooma? What is it used for?

anyway the OP of that post that was linked.

I have my ooma HUB set up like this:

Internet <-> HUB <-> WIFIRouter <-> rest of house

I've been running into situations where the internet slows down *DRAMATICALLY*. And I can see this when I ping different devices:

Ping to WIFIRouter internal interface = <1ms average ping time
Ping to WIFIRouter external interface = <1ms average ping time
Ping to HUB internal interface = 3000ms average ping times
Ping to HUB internal interface = 3000ms average ping times
Ping to http://www.google.com = 3000ms average ping time
If I reboot the HUB , then my ping times become:

Ping to HUB internal interface = <1ms average ping times
Ping to HUB internal interface = <1ms average ping times
Ping to http://www.google.com = 30ms average ping time
This problem is happening daily. And I'm rebooting my hub daily. Any suggestions?

I got one! I got one!

Stop using Ooma.
