Author Topic: Holy forget Computer Issues  (Read 506 times)

From my facebook wall:
I am literally on the brink of tears of nerd rage and frusturation...
Almost right after Christmas my computer decided that it was going to stop working properly. I'm not handicapped, I've done numerous scans for viruses, defragged, checked my hard drive space, all the standard bs. Nothing has helped. This worn ...out piece of crap gets hot enough to cook a steak to well done in a couple seconds flat and I can't run MINECRAFT at a decent twenty or thirty frames per second (for reference, minecraft looks like zolyx.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/minecraft-castle.jpg), I can't run WoW at a decent framerate even on the second-lowset settings, and games like Black Ops and Mass Effect 2 aren't even playable. That isn't even the worst of it though. Every 5 or so minutes of game play time (this ONLY happens when I'm in a game, no other time) my computer will freeze up entirely and I have to force-restart it which takes another ten minutes. Of course this bullstuff would happen right after Christmas.

Help? Do I really need to buy a new computer?

This isn't a blog entry. I'm asking for your help, not your false accusations of hypocrisy.

Running out of RAM and you need a better graphics card.

Possible processor failure, I wouldn't bet on the RAM outage, you gotta test which part is defective.
GPU could also be failing, you see tearing when playing games?

I'd suggest buying a more up-to-date computer.
