Advantages/Disadvantages of Pre-Cal or Trigonometry

I have come to a point, where I must choose between Pre-Cal or Trigonometry. Which of these would help me be more successful as a Civil/Chemical/Mechanical Engineer? I understand that you can take Calculus in college, but I don't know if you need to take Pre-Cal.

So what is Trigonometry? What is it's purpose?

And the same goes with Pre-Cal.

even minors get at least minimum wages. cept you might not be able to work more then like 15-20 hours a week at most. i forgot the rules.
