You can get the same feeling from being with a close friend..? :o

You could. Of course whenever I feel a certain affection towards someone I care for (Eg: A close friend) I'll remain their friend, if our relationship just so happens to progress to a stage where dating would be appropriate I just let it happen. I enjoy the feeling of someone sharing an indescribable feeling with me.

From what I've seen of younger people dating it's just for the sake of being in a relationship. I rarely see people who truly care for each other (on a more intimate level than friendship) become a couple.

Although it's like kids your age are always searching for a girlfriend like it's some sort of commodity. You'll know when you find someone, you don't need to search around and then beg someone to go along with you.
No. I'm not looking for one right now, and probably won't get one till college for apparently i look like a nerd. I'm just wondering what you would do with a girlfriend. Like you don't go and shop with girls and stuff when your 13, I'm wondering if anybody here understands what I'm saying.

Girls throw around the word 'love' a lot.
Holy stuff.
My grandmother's foster child has a boyfriend my age, and she's fifteen.
They've been dating for two months, but I remember that they were saying "I love you" and stuff before the first week was over.
