Author Topic: Why am I beginning to hate the word "hot"  (Read 5959 times)

Swedish is correct. I suggest everyone uses it.

Jesus it's just a word people use instead of beutiful. Seriously why do you even care.
Hot =/= beautiful, in my book.

I very rarely use hot in real life.
As with my friends.. we always kind of say "to the right" and then look right and judge her. Nod our heads for yes or make a horrible face for no.

Rage please.

I don't like the word Hot.
Simply because, if you use it to describe someone, it's really really vague.

If I were to comment on someone being attractive, generally, I'd say something along the lines of "Pretty face" or "Beautiful legs".
I don't like vaguely describing people, simply because if a person tells me they think someone is "Hot" and they simply mean they've got, say, a nice cheast, and actualy are quite unattractive everywhere else, the person telling me seems kind of weird.
Fair enough, people can have completely different views on beauty, but when they do simply mean they like those breasts or those legs, and they just say "hot", it's not very helpful.

They could be going on about someones legs, saying "hot" and I'd be looking at their face, not understanding what's so attractive in particular about that specific face.

tl;dr I get confused when people simply refer to someone as "hot".

Whenever I say I'm hot and it's actually, what, 90 degrees outside, people start laughing and giggling.

perhaps because it's technically incorrect
