Author Topic: Weird bug with Youtube  (Read 654 times)

I'm only getting this on my main PC (HP Pavillion wth GTX 460) and my laptop (HP TouchSmart Tm2).

When I'm on a video on Youtube, I can only watch it in standard definition, when I try any other definition (lower or higher) the video is frozen on frame 1 and only the audio plays.

Is anyone else getting this and if so, is there a way to fix it? I've only noticed it on these two computers.

So I'm not the only one having this problem.
It's a little different to make it happen, I have to start the video and then go to another page within a few seconds.

You can stop it from freezing by killing plugin-container.exe

I tried this using Task Manager and Command Prompt and it still freezes on HD viewing. I'm also trying to do it in HTML5 and it makes no difference.

Whenever I try to go into fullscreen on any youtube video adobe flash crashes.

I've noticed with some videos and channels it works.

I was able to watch the trailer for TES:V Skyrim in full HD no problem, with no performance issues on the Tm2, but when I try to load anything from Machinima it freezes.

Youtube is silent for me. My speakers and the volume slide-bar on the video are on.

I HAVE FOUND THE FIX FOR THE PROBLEM

The reason this is happening is because I have Intel GMA Graphics.

1. Right click on Desktop.
2. Choose "Graphics properties"
3. Select the "Media" menu.
4. Select "Image enhancement" submenu
5. On the first slider ("Noise Reduction") there is a checkbox titled "Override application settings". Uncheck the box.
6. Apply settings.
7. ...?
8. Do it.

Lol yes, get all tough.

Also I tried it and it hasn't recurred. Thanks. :o
