I decided to try the Camera Paths add-on for filming

It's a damn good add-on for filming and brilliant for motion control if you want to do special effects work like making bricks move like I did in the video.

chromakeying would be my guess

Chromakeying indeed. The side on shot after it passes the truck required me to film it 3 times. Once the foreground with greenscreen (A long line of tall glowing printbricks) then again filming the car but going at an opposite direction and finally the same path as the first shot however I deleted the foreground so it was just the background. I did similar techniques in my Piggy film.
